"uh gusto mo ba muna mag-tsaa?" kalel asked ives after jeremiah insisted that he'll be the one to accompany raya in brushing her teeth.
"i'm fine." ives answered shortly.
kalel shows a polite smile and excuses himself to the kitchen. ives saw him putting down the paper bag he was carrying since he arrived and realized it was actually contains the tea. he bites his lips feeling guilty about turning down kalel's offer.
so since he feels terrible for cutting him short, ives stands from the sofa to follow kalel.
"actually," he started. kalel turns his head to him. "can i have a some?"
"huh?"
"yung tsaa." ives told him.
kalel was snap out from his thoughts right away. "ah… oh wait." he panickly gets the kettle not knowing it was still hot, and he gasped as he felt his hand burnt from its water and the kettle itself. "shit." he dropped the kettle at the sink.
ives immediately runs beside him, opening the faucet and grabbing kalel's wrist to run the water in his hand, in the burnt area.
"kaya nga may pot holder d'yan." ives said firm, still holding his wrist to the faucet. "bakit ba ang clumsy mo?" he's not souned irritated or mad rather worried.
"sorry." kalel finally says.
"i'm really sorry." he repeated. ives stops when he realized what he's doing and what those words really meant, what his 'sorry' really implied.
ives let go of his hands. "gamutin mo na 'yan." he leaves him at the sink just in time for jeremiah and raya to comeback from the comfort room.
"papa finish na!" raya announced and ives crouches down to welcome her with a hug.
"tingin si papa." raya open her mouth. "wow naman, very good namn yan."
"tito jeje turo maayos pagbrush."
"what will you say to tito jeje?" raya turns to smiling jeremiah. "thank you tito."
"you're welcome." jeremiah crouched down to hug him and raya kisses his cheeks.
"say thank you rin kay ti..to kalel." ives stutters
raya went to kalel and kalel also crouched down. "thank you tito superman." raya kisses his cheeks too.
raya notices his hand. "what happened to this tito?"
"ah.." kalel tries to cover it with his another hand. "sakit po?"
kalel doesn't answer. "kiss ko nalang po para galing na." so raya, gives his swollen hand a few pecks. "ayan, gagaling na po."
kalel smiles at her. "thank you, baby."
ives can't do anything but to look around because of their interaction, he may or may not get teary because of his daughter and her other dad's interaction.
