Cheska wanted to meet up at café near Wonwoo's company so it wouldn't hassle him.
Wonwoo was second guessing his choices but he knew he needed this, to talk to Cheska means he's finally moving forward with Gayle in his life.
Hindi niya ito sinabi kay Gayle and plans to tell it to her kapag okay na ang lahat sa kanila ni Cheska.
Wonwoo entered the café and immediately recognized the girl he once loved. The girl that was once his world, and the girl that held him back for a long time.
But if this was the old Wonwoo, he would beg for Cheska to go back to him but no, this is the better version of Wonwoo, the Wonwoo who's not afraid to love again, and can face Cheska proudly without the thought of taking her back.
This is the Wonwoo that is in love and looks forward to life with someone very special, with Gayle.
But you know what they say about moving forward? You have to accept your past, and this is Wonwoo now, accepting that it happened.
"Hi Wonwoo!" Cheska greeted a smile on her face and guided him to sit in front of her.
Cheska thought Wonwoo wouldn't return the greetings but to her surprise, he did, cherry even.
"Hi Che!" Wonwoo smiled back staring directly at her eyes and from there, Cheska can tell he's happy.
"You look radiant, Wons." She complimented to which earned a nod from Wonwoo.
"Kasi masaya ako, Che. Masaya na ang puso ko." He replied.
Cheska almost teared up at Wonwoo's answer. Ito lang ang gusto niya, ang makita ang taong minsan na niyang minahal na masaya.
Yung taong halos lumuhod na sa harap niya noong nakaraang buwan, ay ibang iba na ngayon na nasa harapan niya.
She's happy that they've finally reach this point in their life wherein they would meet without thinking or feeling bad for each other.
Wala na yung thought na takot silang harapin yung isa't isa kasi alam nilang may masasaktan na naman.
"And I'm the happiest the you are, Wons. Ilang beses kong hiniling na sana maging masaya ako, nang hindi na ako ang kasama mo." Cheska said, her voice breaking.
Her heart aches, in a good way.
"And I want to thank you for that, Che. I wouldn't be here, I wouldn't meet Gayle again if fate didn't brought us here." Wonwoo said a small smile plastered in his face.
A tear escaped from Cheska's eyes, a tear of joy. Almost everyday since their break up, Cheska kept blaming herself for hurting Wonwoo, for putting him in position where she left with no explanations. And during, Aika's birthday party, she saw how much damaged she's caused to him. How broken he is and she felt guiltier knowing that she's the sole reason for it.
Kaya naiiyak siya kasi she can see the contentment and happiness that she wasn't able to give to him.
Closure.
It's them, finally closing a chapter in their life and creating a new one with people that makes their heart happier, happier than when they were together before.
"Che?" Wonwoo called and reached for the tissue to give it to her so she can wipe her tears.
Cheska accepted the tissue and looked at him anticipating his next words.
"I'm sorry by the way for causing a scene in front of your boyfriend that night. That was so disrespectful and rude of me." Wonwoo said but Cheska shook her head.
"You don't have to apologize for something that I completely understand, Wons. If that was me, I might do that too, but I understand, Wons. Nilagay kita sa posisyon na 'yon, so I have my own fault too kaya I apologize for the damage, Wonwoo." Cheska explained.
Wonwoo didn't answer for a moment taking in her words, she did hurt him but that doesn't justify his actions that night, nakasakit rin siya ng iba noong gabi na yon.
But then again, the only way to get through life is acceptance.
"Your boyfriend.. I can tell you are well taken care of, Che. And I'm happy for you too." Wonwoo smiled again.
'Ganito pala kasaya pag malaya ka na sa sakit' he thought.
"Correction, fiancé." She smiled wider na ikinagulat naman ni Wonwoo.
"Wow, Che! Congratulations! You deserve that happiness, Che, genuinely." He beamed and Cheska showed him her engagement ring.
And as she did, Wonwoo suddenly had trains of thoughts running through his head.
'Is it too fast to see myself asking Gayle to marry me?' but he dismissed the thought immediately, ayaw niya namang ipressure yung tao.
"It's not, Wonwoo." Cheska spoke suddenly, making Wonwoo confuse.
"It's not too fast to ask her. Kapag mahal mo yung tao, time isn't too long or too short, kapag sigurado ka na, bakit papatagalin pa." Cheska explained further to which Wonwoo immediately understand, he said his thoughts loudly.
"I know, kapag sigurado ka, why prolong it right?" He said and Cheska nodded again agreeing.
"Thank you for your time, Wonwoo. I am truly and genuinely happy for you and Page. Invited kayo sa wedding ko ha? Make sure by that time, umuusad ka na."
"Thank you also, Che. Masaya rin ako para sa'yo, sobra. I'll make sure that I'll attend your wedding with Gayle by my side."
"So I guess that's it? This is a good bye, siguro?"
Cheska opened her arms to which Wonwoo gladly accepted, tightening the embrace.
"Hindi pa 'to paalam, Che pero this is us moving forward with life without any hard feelings. salamat and see you soon." He said.
"Salamat at see you soon." Cheska agreed.
Life maybe unsure but atleast they both have someone in their life already, that assures them that it's gonna be okay.
